The US Coast Guard says they are looking for two missing shrimpers south of Southwest Pass. They say a boat capsized around 4pm Tuesday and four crew members were thrown into the water. Two members of the shrimp boat were rescued but the search continues for the other two near the mouth of the Mississippi River.

A teenager was fatally shot by a Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s deputy in Houma yesterday evening and State Police is investigating the incident. They say the deceased is identified as Cameron Tillman and he’s a 14-year-old freshman from Ellender High. Details are limited at this time but investigators say a weapon was found near Tillman’s body. Three other suspects were arrested and a fifth is at large. We’ll stay on top of this developing story.

The charges relate to the granting of a nearly $200 million dollar Medicaid contract that was awarded to Bruce Greenstien’s former employer. The DA’s office claims Greenstein lied about having contact with CNSI but the defense says their client had nothing to do with the granting of the Medicaid contract.
