Louisiana State Police say they are investigating the death of a 14-year-old high school freshman who was allegedly shot by a Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s deputy. The teen is identified as Cameron Tillman — a student from Ellender High School Trooper Evan Harrell says deputies got a 911 call around 5:30 Tuesday evening…:

He says a cop shot the teen inside the home but what exactly lead to the shooting is unknown at this time.

The UL-System has selected Dr. James Henderson as the 18th President of Northwestern State University. Henderson says he and his wife honored by this appointment…:

Henderson is a 1994 graduate of Northwestern and is currently the Chancellor of Bossier Parish Community College (BPCC).

The former DHH Secretary who was appointed by Governor Bobby Jindal was indicted Tuesday on 9 counts of perjury. The charges relate to the granting of a nearly $200 million dollar Medicaid contract that was awarded to Bruce Greenstien’s former employer. The DA’s office claims Greenstein lied about having contact with CNSI but the defense says their client had nothing to do with the granting of the Medicaid contract.
