LSU failed to rush for over 100 yards as a team in Saturday’s loss to Mississippi State. There were very few holes for the Tiger running backs against the Bulldogs defense. LSU Offensive Coordinator Cam Cameron says they still have confidence they can run the ball against some of the best defenses in the country…:

The Tigers will take on New Mexico State this weekend then play Auburn on the road October 4th.

The Southeastern Conference announced Tuesday that Mississippi State center Dillon Day has been suspended for one game after he was seen on video stomping on a pair of LSU players last Saturday in Tiger Stadium. They say the punishment is the result of multiple flagrant and unsportsmanlike acts during the game. The Bulldogs have a bye this Saturday but play next on October 4th against Texas A&M.

After a gut wrenching loss to Northwestern State last weekend, Louisiana Tech will face 5th ranked Auburn at Jordan-Hare Stadium this Saturday. Bulldogs Coach Skip Holtz has preached to his team that they have to put the loss to the Demons in the rear view mirror:

Auburn comes into Saturday’s game with a 3-and-0 record.

The New Orleans Pelicans unveiled a new alternate uniform on Tuesday and it’s very very red – with a blue trim. This will be the team’s third uniform combination after deciding to rebrand as the Pelicans a year ago. It’ll be worn on opening night and three other games next season.
