Governor Bobby Jindal’s former Health and Hospitals Secretary Bruce Greenstein has been indicted by a grand jury for perjury. The charges stem from allegations Greenstein lied about having contact with a company he used to work for that was awarded a MAJOR state Medicaid contract. Assistant Attorney General David Caldwell:

Greenstein’s attorney John McLindon says his client has never denied being friends with his former co-workers at CNSI…:

The Medicaid contract in question awarded to CNSI was worth about $200 million dollars.

Today marks the nine year anniversary of Hurricane Rita making landfall on Sabine Pass. Jennings Senator Blade Morrish says southwest Louisiana learned a lot as a result of Rita and has done quite well rebuilding…:

Louisiana State Police is investigating the death of a 14 year old from Houma who was allegedly shot by a Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s deputy. The deceased teen is identified as a freshman from Ellender High School and his name is Cameron Tillman. LSP indicates deputies were called to a residence where the shooting took place and at least one person was armed.
