Bruce Greenstein, Governor Bobby Jindal’s former Health and Hospitals Secretary, has been indicted by a grand jury for perjury. The DA’s office says Greenstien is accused of lying under oath about having contact with his former employer CNSI before the company was granted a huge Medicaid contract. Greenstein’s attorney John McLindon says his client has never denied being friends with his former co-workers…:

But the prosecution calls this large scale corruption which won’t be tolerated in Louisiana.

The US Coast Guard says they are looking for two missing shrimpers south of Southwest Pass. They say a boat capsized around 4pm Tuesday and four crew members were thrown into the water. Two members of the shrimp boat were rescued but the search continues for the other two near the mouth of the Mississippi River.

A teenager was fatally shot by a Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s deputy in Houma yesterday evening and State Police is investigating the incident. They say the deceased is identified as Cameron Tillman and he’s a 14-year-old freshman from Ellender High. Details are limited at this time but investigators say a weapon was found near Tillman’s body. Three other suspects were arrested and a fifth is at large. We’ll stay on top of this developing story.

In Money magazine’s 2014 Best Places to Live rankings, Bossier City ranks seventh among the best places to find a new job. City Spokesman Mark Natale says the magazine did a lot of research looking at job growth in Bossier City…:
