St. Bernard Parish authorities say a 56-year-old man attacked his ex-wife with an ax as she left her home for work this morning, killing her. 48-year-old Kimberly Owens suffered fatal injuries as her mother watched from the home. Shreveport police detectives are trying to determine who fatally stabbed an 82-year-old woman who lived alone. Kathleen Cates was pronounced dead at the scene, suffering from multiple stab wounds.
