A Slidell police officer remains in critical condition after he was possibly driving drunk in a crash that killed his passenger. State Police Trooper Greg Marchand says a resident heard the crash around 4:30 Sunday morning, but the wrecked Jeep Wrangler was spotted two and a half hours later and 31-year-old Daniel Hanlon was pronounced dead at the scene…

He says impairment is suspected on the driver, 31-year-old John Cole, as bottles of alcohol were found in the vehicle. Cole was off-duty at the time of the accident.

An additional charge of forcible rape has been filed against “Sons of Guns” star Will Hayden. The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office says a victim has come forward alleging Hayden raped her more than 20 years ago when she was just 12-years-old. Hayden was arrested last month accused in the rape of another 12-year-old girl.

A Slidell police officer remains in critical condition after he was possibly driving drunk in a crash that killed his passenger. State Police Trooper Greg Marchand says the single vehicle wreck occurred early Sunday morning on Highway 433 and 31-year-old John Cole, who was not working at the time, was at the wheel. Marchand says impairment is suspected the part of Cole as bottles of alcohol were found in the vehicle. He says a blood sample from Cole was collected for a toxicological analysis…

A 31-year-old passenger in Cole’s vehicle, Daniel Hanlon, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office has captured an inmate who escaped police custody last night. Authorities say 26-year-old Jason Dempster fled the Lafourche Parish Jail while serving a 90-day sentence for failure to pay child support.

Democratic New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu is a rumored candidate.

State Police are investigating a fatal crash involving an off-duty Slidell Police Officer who may have been drunk when the crash occurred. They say 31-year-old John Cole was driving when he lost control of the vehicle and flipped into a ditch. His passenger, 31-year-old Daniel Hanlon of Slidell, was pronounced dead at the scene. Cole was transported to a local hospital where he is listed in serious condition. Impairment is suspected on part of the officer.

State Police say an off-duty Slidell Police officer may have been drunk when he got into a fatal crash Sunday morning. They say 31-year-old John Cole was driving when he missed a curve and flipped into a ditch. His passenger, 31-year-old Daniel Hanlon also of Slidell, was pronounced dead on the scene. Impairment is suspected on the part of the officer who is in serious condition at a New Orleans hospital.

Lawmakers in California recently approved a bill that would pump a lot more money into their film tax credit program, but Louisiana Entertainment doesn’t think that threatens Hollywood South.
