While flood victims in south Louisiana are struggling to recover from the August flood, many north Louisianans have still not recovered from the flooding there in March. District Attorney Jerry Jones announced Monday that he is resigning effective November 1st. Jones, who’s served the fourth district since 1991, says his decision is solely motivated by his health and that he does not want to leave office.
