The person killed in yesterday’s shooting has been identified as 80-year-old Augustine Greenwood. A mother of six and grandmother of 15 children. Governor John Bel Edwards says Louisiana must do more to ensure those who pose an unacceptable risk of harm to others are not able to acquire or keep firearms.

The Senate Revenue and Fiscal Affairs Committee will hear legislation today that would allow non-felon adults to conceal carry a gun without a permit or the training that’s currently needed to obtain a permit.
