The National Hurricane Center says there’s a high chance a large area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms located over the Yucatan Peninsula will develop into at least a tropical depression over the next 48 hours. The system is expected to track towards Florida this week and avoid Louisiana.

Authorities have identified the elderly woman killed moments after watching her grandson graduate from Morris Jeff High School during a ceremony on Xavier University’s campus. 80-year-old Augustine Greenwood was a mother of six and a grandmother of 15 children.
