Grambling State University is still reeling from a shooting early Wednesday which left a student and his friend dead.  A student was shot in a separate incident last month.  Grambling President Rick Gallot says Grambling is a gun free zone and residential life works hard to keep on campus housing as safe as possible.

Check those Powerball numbers, the winning ticket for Wednesday’s jackpot worth more than $191 million was sold in Louisiana. According to the Louisiana Lottery, the winning ticket was sold in Eunice in St. Landry Parish. The winning ticket matched five numbers and the Powerball.

A shooting at Grambling State University killed one student and his friend early this morning.  The shooter remains at large.  The victims were killed outside a dorm room just after midnight.  Director of Communications Will Sutton says the campus is operating as normal…

Tulane University has received a five-year 1.8-million-dollar grant to study a possible link between traumatic stress and alcohol abuse.  Researcher Jeff Tasker says humans with post-traumatic stress disorder are more likely to abuse alcohol than the general population and this project will provide insight into why.
