Rock and Roll Hall Famer and New Orleans icon Fats Domino has passed away at the age of 89. The Jefferson Parish coroner’s office says he died of natural causes. He sold over 110-million records that included hits like “Blueberry Hill and “Ain’t That a Shame.” Crescent City singer Phillip Manuel says Fats was always a crowd pleaser….

Authorities are investigating a double homicide at Grambling State. University spokesman Will Sutton says the shooter is at large, but this wasn’t a random incident…:

Tulane University receives a one-point-eight million dollar grant to study the connection between alcohol abuse with those who suffer from PTSD. Researcher Jeff Tasker believes there’s a certain part of the brain that contributes to why some drink more than others after undergoing traumatic situations…

Tasker says they want to provide insight on what makes a person suffering from PTSD more likely to abuse alcohol.

A lawsuit has been filed by Lambda Legal on behalf of William “Liam” Pierce claiming their client was offered a job by the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office that was later rescinded when they learned Pierce had HIV. Attorney Scott Schoettes (shotis) says that suit is asking for Pierce to be employed as deputy…:
