Edwards made those comments at the Baton Rouge Press Club. Rispone was in Baton Rouge yesterday as he welcomed Vice President Mike Pence to the capital city. Pence attended a closed-door fundraiser for Rispone. The Baton Rouge businessman says he’s been all around the state and says Edwards has not been following him around.

Governor Edwards holds a small lead over GOP challenger Eddie Rispone in the latest Nexstar Media Group and JMC Analytics poll. Edwards received 48-percent of the vote, while Rispone had 46-percent. Pollster John Couvillon says six-percent of the respondents are undecided and that means the race will come down to party turnout, not flashy TV ads…
