The fan who casually walked onto the field during the LSU/Southern game Saturday night in Death Valley has been issued a misdemeanor summons. Police say Marwan Okeil strolled out onto the field then stood with his hands on his hips before being apprehended by officers and taken to the LSU Police Department. Okeil was faces charges of criminal trespassing and resisting an officer.

An advocacy group is seeking compensation for a man wrongly convicted, who served decades in prison. 62-year-old Malcolm Alexander’s rape conviction was overturned in 2018 after serving 38 years in Angola. But Innocence Project New Orleans executive director Jee Park says Alexander was denied compensation last year, and they are appealing the ruling. In Louisiana, it’s $40,000 for each year of wrongful imprisonment…:

She says compensation for Alexander is long overdue.

A 71 year old man from Calhoun went gator hunting for the first time last week on Lake St. John and ended up catching one that he thought weighed around 400 pounds. Jerry Sepulvado of Calhoun he quickly learned the gator was far bigger:

He says it took hours to get the gator on his boat and he’s still in shock.
