New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell says she will not reimburse the city for almost $30-thousand in travel upgrades during recent trips to Miami, D.C. and France. She says the additional dollars were for her (quote) “safety, not luxury.” Cantrell‘s extravagance is one reason cited for the recall petition against her.

 

So, imagine your 71-year-old friend who’s never been gator hunting in their life, tells you he caught one that he thought weighed around 400 pounds. You’d laugh at them, right? Well, Jerry Sepulvado of Calhoun did just that Wednesday on Lake St. John. He actually caught three gators and one was a real whopper…:

The game is sold out, tailgate crowds are expected to be of record-setting size…and Matherne’s market on Nicholson hopes to cash in on the adaptation. Kickoff is a 6:30 Saturday in Tiger Stadium.
