Former state senator and chairwoman of the Louisiana Democratic Party Karen Carter Peterson is apparently working with fedeveral authorities as she’s been charged with wire fraud for allegedly using campaign and party funds to pay for her gambling addiction. The New Orleans Democrat says she made a full repayment of funds used as a result of her addiction and will continue to make amends.
