A person who works in the governor’s office has tested positive for COVID-19. The governor’s office says the person did not have close contact with Governor John Bel Edwards. A wild high school football game took place last night at Eddie Robinson Stadium in Grambling as Ruston defeated Neville in three overtimes 38-35. The Tigers led 21-0 at halftime and in the first overtime, Ruston scored on fourth and goal from the 45-yard line on a hail mary pass.

Winn Parish Sheriff Cranford Jordan is back home after spending a couple of weeks in the hospital battling COVID-19. Sheriff Jordan’s infection was so severe he was placed on a ventilator and transferred to Rapides Regional Medical Center. His wife was also diagnosed with COVID-19, but she did not have severe complications.

The State Fire Marshal’s office is urging generator safety ahead of Hurricane Delta after there were multiple carbon monoxide deaths that occurred after Hurricane Laura. State Fire Marshal says to avoid carbon monoxide getting in your home do not place generators inside any structure including garages, carports and sheds.
