Delta’s maximum sustained winds are at 115 miles per hour and it’s moving north at 13 miles per hour. It’s expected to move diagonally across the state and maintain tropical storm strength into northeast Louisiana. A person who works in the governor’s office has tested positive for COVID-19. The governor’s office says the person did not have close contact with Governor John Bel Edwards. But two additional staff members who were deemed to have close contact with the person are quarantining for 14 days per C-D-C guidance.
