And Delta has already helped produced large rainfall totals in the Baton Rouge area. Nearly nine inches of rain fell in Zachary as a result of a cluster of storms. A band of heavy rain has also moved through St. Tammany and Washington Parishes this morning.

Both Entergy and Cleco have thousand of additional workers on standby to respond to power outages from Hurricane Delta. Cleco spokesperson Jennifer Cahill says trees that were not damaged during Hurricane Laura are still vulnerable and with Delta trailing so close behind, they might not survive a second storm. Cahill says Cleco is ready to respond…

Governor John Bel Edwards has announced the Phase Three COVID-19 mitigation measures, including the statewide mask mandate, will remain the same through November sixth.
