A West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Deputy is under arrest for allegedly using his badge to proposition prostitutes. The sheriff’s office fired Florian Deutsch (Doych) of Port Allen after being notified of his arrest by the Baton Rouge Police Department. Apparently the suspect was busted at the Motel 6 on Airline Highway in Baton Rouge after he was contacted by a known “Backpage” prostitute.

The Shreveport Police Department has identified the man who was killed in a single vehicle crash last night. They say 39-year-old old James Cizek died when his vehicle ran off Interstate 220 and fliped several times.

The Secretary of State’s Office says early voting for the November 4th Election is going good so far. Tom Schedler says so far the number of people that have cast a ballot is at 75% of what the state saw two years ago for the Presidential election. He says that’s promising for overall participation…:

Gas prices continue their steady drop falling another two cents last night. The current statewide average for a gallon of regular is $2.92 according to the American Automobile Association.
