A West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Deputy has been arrested for allegedly using his position to have sex with prostitutes. Baton Rouge PD Corporal L Jean McKneely says informants told detectives that a cop was coercing them into having sex. He says Deputy Florian Deutsch (doich) arranged to meet a prostitute at a motel Thursday…:

He says they believe Deutsch was using BackPage.com to make contact with prostitutes. The suspect was fired after his arrest.

The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s office says a security officer in charge of catching and reporting shoplifters at Wal-Mart was arrested for allegedly stealing over $500 in store merchandise. They say Joshua Faulk took DVDs, CDs, closting, electronics and food while he was working loss pervention duties for the store. He was booked for theft.

State health officials say they are monitoring a New Orleans area man for signs of the deadly Ebola virus. Department of Health and Hospitals spokeswoman Olivia Watkins confirmed Thursday that the federal Centers for Disease Control alerted the state to the individual who had just returned from a visit to an Ebola affected country.

Tomorrow will be the biggest day of the season on the LSU campus as 3rd ranked, undefeated Ole Miss comes to town. It’s also Homecoming and university officials are urging fans to arrive early and attend ESPN’s College Gameday.
