Jefferson Parish President Mike Yenni, who is reportedly under investigating for inappropriate behavior with teenage boys, released a video in response to the allegation. Angry residents have called for his resignation. But Yenni says in the video he admits to sending texts to a young man, and that it was a bad decision. He’s now being deployed until October 15th for operations related to Hurricane Matthew.

State Police is investigating a wrong-way crash in Covington that claimed the life of the driver who is suspected of being impaired. They say 55-year-old Perry Nunez got on I-12 westbound going east and crashed head-on into an 18 wheeler. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
