Lt. Governor Jay Dardenne spoke before the Baton Rouge Press Club yesterday and laid out some ways he thinks the office of the Governor should be run. Dardenne plans to run for the state’s chief executive spot next year. He says the next Governor needs to listen and make decisions for the right reasons…:

He says a Dardenne Administration would be much more transparent than what we’ve seen since 2008.

Erin Brockovich is sending her chief environmental investigator to St. John Parish today to conduct a Town Hall meeting about Safe Drinking Water, chlorine Burnouts and the deadly amoeba situation in the parish water supply. She says on her Facebook page the meeting with Bob Bowcock will be before the Parish Council. According to her website, Brockovich is currently involved in water issues across the country.

A hearing has been set for November 20th in Bobby Jindal’s lawsuit against the Obama Administration over the Common Core education standards. Lawyers for the Governor claim the federal government illegally used federal money to convince states to adopt Common Core. The case is set to be heard in two and a half months.
