Multiple agencies including the FBI and the National Bureau of Investigation are working the case of the horrific kidnapping and murder of three-year-old girl Erin Brunett from Loranger. 36-year-old Daniel Callahan allegedly killed her mother Callie Brunett and abducted her, and her 6-year-old sister Jalie then fled to Jackson, Mississippi. Jackson Police Chief Joseph Wade says they believe the crime scene is possibly linked to human trafficking and they want to know why Callahan brought the young girls to Jackson.

An alleged accomplice, 32-year-old Victoria Cox has also been arrested.

Distracted driving continues to be a safety concern in Louisiana. Dashcam footage of a June 10 accident in Slidell seems to show an SUV driver distracted by dogs in the vehicle crash into a motorcycle Fortunately, the motorcyclist escaped with minor injuries.
