As a player, Habetz helped lead the Cajuns to the Women’s College World Series in 1993. She was an assistant at Alabama for 25 years and was the associate head coach when the Crimson Tide won a national championship in 2012.

Nicholls has named Brent Haring as its new baseball coach. Haring spent the 2024 season as LSU’s Director of Baseball Operations. Before spending one year on Jay Johnson’s staff. Haring was a long-time assistant at BYU. He takes over a program that has made two straight trips to the NCAA Regionals.

The first round of the NBA draft is tonight and the Pelicans have the 21st overall pick and no picks in the second round. Jake Madison, host of the Locked On Pelicans Podcast, says New Orleans is looking for a big man as last year’ starting center Jonas Valanciunas is not expected to return…

LSU men’s basketball has published its 2024-25 roster and it includes Trey’Dez Green, who is an incoming tight end for the Tigers football team. Green is a freak of an athlete at six-foot-seven and is expected to have a big role for Coach Brian Kelly’s squad. But it looks like he also wants to help out Matt McMahon’s team when football finishes.
