Today, a grand opening ceremony takes place for the brand new $1.1 billion dollar University Medical Center in New Orleans. State Police say one is dead and another injured after a two vehicle crash on I-55 in Tangipahoa Parish. Authorities believe 22-year-old Summer Allen Graves of Amite was traveling northbound in the southbound lane of the roadway when she collided head-on with a truck driven by 63-year-old Jackie Hartfield of Columbia, Mississippi. Graves, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene. Hartfield suffered minor injuries. Investigators suspect Graves was impaired at the time of the crash.
