Entergy Louisiana will be partnering with local agencies to offer $1 million bill payment assistance to customers across Entergy service areas to address the increase in bills due to the state’s historic heat. Customers can apply for a one-time $200 credit through their local United Way website starting Friday.

50 years ago today, folk singer Jim Croce and five other people were killed in a plane crash after performing at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches.
