New Orleans’ indoor mask mandate returns today as the city’s health director says the Big Easy is averaging 12-hundred new cases per day. A group of teachers in East Baton Rouge parish says they will not report to school today, because of rising COVID cases. COVID hospitalizations are up to 19-hundred statewide.

The Revenue Estimating Conference has recognized a budget surplus of one-point-six billion dollars for the current fiscal year and last fiscal year. The R-E-C is also projecting an additional 765-million dollars in tax revenues for the next fiscal year which begins in July.
