Legislation has been filed for the upcoming regular session that would bar auto insurance companies from charging higher premiums to women, widows, and those with low credit scores. Matt Doyle has more.

The Houma Police Department is investigating the fatal shooting of an 8-year-old girl while riding in a vehicle. Detectives say a light-colored vehicle was following a dark-colored vehicle and shooting at it in the 91-hundred block of Main Street last night. Authorities say after shots were fired, the victims drove to a hospital where the little girl was pronounced dead.

Flash flood watches are posted for much of south Louisiana and State Climatologist Barry Keim says there’s also a marginal risk for severe weather for most of south Louisiana and a portion of central Louisiana..,

A tornado warning just expired for portions of Lafayette, Acadia, and Vermilion Parishes.

US health officials are questioning the results of AstraZeneca’s vaccine trial. The company says its vaccine is 79-percent effective at preventing COVID-19 but the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases says Astrazeneca may have used outdated and incomplete information. Tulane School of Medicine Professor Doctor Lisa Morici says the U-S may send Astra Zeneca doses to other countries…
