A 38-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly assaulting an elderly man in Opelousas in a road rage incident. Police Chief Donald Thompson says they arrested Joshua Babineaux this morning after the public recognized him from surveillance video released to the media. Kittens Head Football Coach Marcus Randall has been fired and the LHSAA has suspended the former LSU quarterback for a year.

Not only does Shreveport mayor Ollie Tyler want to build a 30-million dollar sports complex for an NBA minor league team for the New Orleans Pelicans, she’s also proposing a training camp practice facility for the Saints. It’s unclear if the city will fund the mayor’s proposal.

Baton Rouge Police are looking for a man from Ponchatoula accused of shooting and killing a 19-year-old woman. They say 20-year-old James Seymore is believed to have been playing with a hand gun in the back of a vehicle when it went off on accident and struck the victim, Briana Hornsby while she was driving. Seymore fled on foot and remains at large. Hornsby died from her injuries.

The state has been trying to get college students to fill out of a survey that deals with violence and sexual assault, but findings released to the Louisiana Board of Regents today indicated the response rate in the spring was only 3.5 percent.
