The Louisiana Department of Revenue’s 2015 Louisiana Tax Amnesty kicks off today. During the amnesty, 33-percent of the penalty and 17-percent of the interest owed will be waived when 100-percent of the tax debt is paid. Deputy Secretary Jarrod Coniglio says you can even set up an installment plan if you cannot make full payment by December 31st…

A clerk for the town of Oakdale is under arrest accused of taking money people brought in to pay their water bills. Authorities allege that Breanne Nicole Johnson took more than $4,300 from water bill payments and another $300 from money designated for rental for a city building. Oakdale Police report that about 88 customers were affected. Johnson denies the allegations. She was relieved of her duties and booked into the Allen Parish Jail charged with theft of more than $750.

Bossier City Police say a 25-year-old man is under arrest after a 3-year-old in his care sustained a severe head injury. Few details are known, but when Brandon Fox and the child’s mother brought the little girl to the emergency room, hospital official contacted police in regards to the child’s injuries. After their investigation, Fox was arrested on a charge of second degree cruelty to a juvenile. The child remains hospitalized in critical condition.

The American Automobile Association says December gas prices in Louisiana could drop to their lowest point in nearly seven years. AAA fuel analyst Don Redman says statewide gas prices could go as low as $1.60 by the end of the month. He says this is coming at a great time for the motoring public as they put their budget together for the holidays…

State Police say four fatal crashes on Louisiana roadways over the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend resulted in ten fatalities. The victims range in age from two months to 87-years-old. Tiger Rag Editor Cody Worsham says it appears LSU President F King Alexander stepped in and now many are calling for Alleva to be fired for the way this was handled. But Worsham doesn’t think that will happen…

The New Orleans Police Department says Napoleonville State Senator Troy Brown was arrested over the weekend for allegedly punching a woman in the face. They say the alleged battery occurred following the Bayou Classic at a New Orleans hotel as the victim waited for an elevator. Brown has stated he does not remember what happened, but he is very remorseful about the situation.

Col John Fortunato says they believe David Mata stabbed to death the three victims before killing himself and they have no idea why…:

LSU Coach Les Miles gets to keep his job even after it was widely speculated that this past Saturday would be his last game in Tiger Stadium. Tiger Rag Editor Cody Worsham believes LSU President F King Alexander stepped in because it would look bad to the legislature if they paid the $15 million dollars to buy Miles out of his contract. There are still questions whether offensive coordinator Cam Cameron will return. His contract is set to expire after the bowl game.
