We got out of the 2015 Atlantic Hurricane Season, ending today, with just four hurricanes, two major hurricanes and none threatening the US. State Climatologist Barry Keim says the last hurricane to hit Louisiana was Cat 1 Isaac in 2012. He says some are wondering if we’re moving into a period of less severe hurricanes…:

It’s been ten seasons since a major hurricane has made landfall in the United States.

The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office believes a man killed his wife and two children before taking his own life in Marrero over the weekend. The deceased are identified as 46-year-old David Mata, 40-year-old Kelli Mata, 4-year-old Caden and 2-year-old Liam Mata. Col John Fortunato says they believe David Mata stabbed to death the three victims before killing himself and they have no idea why…:

LSU Coach Les Miles gets to keep his job even after it was widely speculated that this past Saturday would be his last game in Tiger Stadium. Tiger Rag Editor Cody Worsham believes LSU President F King Alexander stepped in because it would look bad to the legislature if they paid the $15 million dollars to buy Miles out of his contract. There are still questions whether offensive coordinator Cam Cameron will return. His contract is set to expire after the bowl game.
