Grammy-award winning trumpeter Irvin Mayfield and his business partner, Ronald Markham pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy in their corruption case in which they allegedly transferred more than $1 million in public library donations to their jazz orchestra. Today’s arraignment came after numerous delays in the criminal trial and several more due to the pandemic closure of courts. Both were indicted December of 2017.
