A West Baton Rouge Sheriff’s deputy is being called a hero today after he prevented a pregnant woman from jumping off the I-10 Mississippi River bridge. The dramatic rescue happened yesterday afternoon, 175 feet above the river. Lt. Ken Albarez tried to talk the woman off the bridge for 45 minutes before he eventually grabbed her and pulled her to safety.
