The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries is asking the public to let them know if they spot the invasive Asian swamp eel. It was found in Bayou St. John in New Orleans. L-D-W-F biologist Robert Bourgeois says the concern is that the Asian swamp eel eats the same found as native fish do. But He says they are not dangerous or aggressive with humans…

The Caddo Sheriff’s Office continues its investigation today into Sunday’s deadly double shooting. Authorities say a man broke into his former girlfriend’s home and shot her current boyfriend. The intruder was also shot and both died. The woman and five children escaped through the kitchen door unharmed. Names of the deceased have not been released.
