State Police say a three-vehicle accident in Terrebonne Parish has claimed the life of a Thibodaux man. They say the vehicle driven by 34-year-old Chad Labat, for unknown reasons, crossed the center line and struck another vehicle. The impact caused the vehicle driven by Labat to be split into three pieces. One of those pieces struck a third vehicle. Labat was ejected from his vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. The drivers of the other two vehicles were taken to a local hospital with moderate injuries.

The state department of health and hospitals is encouraging businesses to help employees live a healthy lifestyle by coming up with healthy programs and policies at the workplace. According to GasBuddy.com, it’s possible we’re near the end of the dramatic drop in the price of gasoline. Senior Petroleum Analyst Gregg Laskoski says if gas prices do start to drop again it won’t be by much because this is the month refineries have to make the switch from the winter blend to the summer blend of gasoline.
