More arctic air makes its way into Louisiana which means a cold week is on tap for the Bayou State. Tim Humphrey, with the National Weather Service in Lake Charles, says says the cold air mass heading down from Canada will be dry, so you won’t have to worry about any winter precipitation…

He says high temperatures will only be in the 40s for north Louisiana today and 50s in south Louisiana.

A Shreveport man has been arrested in connection with a shooting last night that sent two men to the hospital. Shreveport Police say their investigation indicates 36-year-old Nicholas King approached the victims and fired several shots, striking them both. Both victims taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. King was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on charges of simple battery and illegal use of a weapon.
