A team of LSU Health New Orleans researchers has discovered that even obese women can reduce the chance of passing on active obesity genes to their children by eating healthy during the pregnancy. A man is in grave condition after he was shot by a Shreveport police officer yesterday afternoon. Officers were on the scene responding to a call of suspicious vehicle and the situation escalated. Police Chief Alan Crump says multiple shots were fired and the officers took the actions necessary based on the situation.
