An icon in the Louisiana culinary industry has passed away. Ella Brennan, the long-tiem proprietor of Commander’s Palace has died at the age of 92. As a result of low sales, Sears announces they are closing 72 stores nationwide. Two Louisiana stores are on the list, a K-Mart in Lake Charles and the Sears at the Alexandria mall.
