State Police Superintendent Kevin Reeves says LSP is facing some of its darkest days amid allegations surrounding the department. He says all cases involving accusations of wrongdoing will go before a Disciplinary Review Panel which will ensure all decisions regarding troopers’ actions are decided in a way where no one receives special treatment from the Superintendent:

The controversies stem from former LSP head Mike Edmonson’s retirement when questions came up about lax spending practices under his leadership.

Louisiana is one of a dozen states asking the US Supreme Court to block a California law which states any eggs sold there must come from hens who have been able to stretch their limbs in their cages. State Ag Commissioner Mike Strain says Louisiana is 100% on board with the suit…:
