Deputy Chief of Staff for Programming and Planning for the Governor, Johnny Anderson, resigned Wednesday after allegations of sexual harassment surfaced. Anderson says he stepped down as an effort to clear his name. He says he does not want to distract the governor and would rather answer questions about these accusations as a private citizen.

Online shopping has become a big part of Christmas shopping with Amazon leading the way, according to the Personal finance website Wallethub. But Analyst Jill Gonzalez says you have to be aware of current prices to make sure you’re getting the best deal.

She says 33-percent of those surveyed plan on spending at least 500 dollars on holiday shopping.

Events are underway for the 44th annual Bayou Classic in New Orleans. Media Director for the Bayou Classic Angela Young says the theme for this year’s event is “We are One” and the Bayou Classic is a family friendly event bringing those under the umbrella of HBCUs together. She says it’s estimated that the events will have a huge economic impact on the city.
