The 97th cadet class has begun training at the State Police Training Academy in Baton Rouge. Trooper Jared Sandifer says 47 men and women started their intense training yesterday, while the 96th cadet class is entering its 11th week of training….

After graduation, troopers will participate in a 10-14 week field training program before beginning their new careers.

Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser and 10 Louisiana chefs are in New York City to prepare the Bayou State’s world-class food and give the Big Apple a taste of what we have to offer. Nungesser says they hope to woo people with our culture and encourage them to take their next vacation to Louisiana.
