Two homicide cases resulting in three deaths in Rapides Parish were found to be connected, and a brother and sister are charged in the crimes. A 191 million dollar Powerball jackpot ticket was sold last night at a gas station in Eunice. Louisiana Lottery Spokesperson Kim Chopin says the last time the Bayou State saw a jackpot winner was in May of 2013. She says in 2008, a player won the second largest jackpot of 97 million dollars…:

Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser says nearly 25-percent of the new jobs created in the state come from Louisiana’s tourism industry. Nungesser says data from the U-S Bureau of Labor Statistics shows the state’s leisure and hospitality sector added six-thousand jobs in the last year. Nungesser says he’s spoken with workers who have moved up the job chain, because of the state’s booming tourism industry….
