A former staffer for Democrats John Breaux and Kathleen Blanco says Mary Landrieu needs to change her message in order to have a chance at victory on December sixth. Bob Mann, who is currently an LSU Mass Communications Professor, says Landrieu’s message of clout and seniority in the US Senate doesn’t resonate with voters…:

Democratic Former Governor Edwin Edwards and his runoff challenger Republican Garrett Graves have each accepted an invitation to debate each other at the Baton Rouge Press Club on November 24th in their bid for the 6th Congressional District Seat. Graves says he plans to focus on Louisiana’s future in this campaign, and Edwards contends he’s got some concerns about his challenger’s past he feels the public needs to know.

Louisiana’s 2014 tax amnesty period comes to an end in one week. Department of Revenue Deputy Secretary Jarrod Coniglio says those who are behind on their taxes with the state have until 11:59pm on November 14th to settle up and pay their debt without penalty and only half of the interest…:

He says a lot of people have been taking advantage of this year’s amnesty but they aren’t releasing money numbers just yet.

The Lafayette Fire Department has confirmed a single fatality in the car they found on fire this morning inside a business. They say crews responded around 5am to Advanced Radiographics where the vehicle was ablaze. Once contained, officials reported a deceased person in the vehicle. State Police are examining the scene.
