The New Orleans Saints have responded to President Trump’s comments indicating NFL players should be fired for protesting during the national anthem. It said Tom Benson believes players that represent the Saints and Pelicans organizations should be allowed to share or express their feelings. 10 members of the team chose to sit during the national anthem before Sunday’s game against the Panthers, causing some Saints fans to take to social media indicating they are boycotting the team and burning memorabilia.

The US Supreme Court is expected today decide today whether to accept a petition
by a New Orleans man who was convicted on a 10-2 vote of murder in 2015.
Louisiana is one of two states where a unanimous decision is not necessary for a
felony. Loyola Law Professor Dane Ciolino says for years the nation’s high court
has allowed non-unanimous verdicts in Louisiana and Oregon…:
