Congress gets back to work today and it’s expected Louisiana’s delegation will resume efforts to get more federal funds for flood recovery. Congressman Garret Graves says the state needs to come up with a way to spend the $438 million they’ve already received, sooner than later:

Republican Public Service Commissioner Scott Angelle is up against fellow GOP contender Capt. Clay Higgins in the runoff for the 3rd Congressional District seat. Higgins is confident he will win soundly, and he says he feels good going into the runoff. He says if elected, he will not be a part of the corruption in Washington…:

The runoff is December 10th.

The Powerball jackpot stands at $293 million after Saturday’s drawing resulted in no overall winner. Wednesday’s prize has an estimated $185 million dollar cash value.
