Governor John Bel Edwards has a 60-percent approval rating, according to a new survey. Pollster Bernie Pinsonat with Southern Media and Opinion Research says only one person beat out Edwards as the most popular Louisiana leader…:

The two former higher ups at Angola were booked into the West Feliciana Parish Sheriff’s Office and released on bond after turning themselves in amid allegations they stole $160,000 in prison funds. They are 45-year-old Shirley Whittington and Deborah Leonard who each fact felony counts of theft.
