Congress approves legislation that contains 500 million dollars in federal disaster assistance. About 400 million dollars will go to Louisiana for flood relief. Hazmat crews are on the scene after an explosion at around 5 AM rocked Camp Minden in Webster Parish. Those in the area, who were up at the time, report seeing a giant light in the sky. No injuries were reported. There is ongoing work at Camp Minden to destroy millions of pounds of improperly stored M-6 propellant.
