If you’re going to the LSU game tomorrow there are some reminders being issued by the University. Post-game football traffic includes a contraflow southbound on Nicholson or Highway 30. LSU Athletics has also added 2300 new parking spaces for the games and street parking is no longer allowed on Burbank and Nicholson. You can get more information at lsusports.net/parking.

Louisiana is in short supply of Ag teachers and leaders at LSU are working to change that. Mike Burnett is the executive associate dean with the College of Agriculture at LSU. He says surrounding states, like Texas and Mississippi have been actively recruiting Ag teachers from Louisiana…:

Burnett says there are about 230 Ag teachers in 185 Louisiana schools, but many are nearing retirement age.

The 2014 Louisiana Second Amendment Weekend Sales Tax Holiday begins today and runs through Sunday. Byron Henderson with the Louisiana Department of Revenue says items that fall under the sales tax holiday include firearms, ammunition, archery supplies and apparel such as safety gear or camouflage clothing you’d use for hunting.
