A state judge has dismissed the lawsuit filed on behalf of Amite High School in an effort to toss the football team’s suspension from the Class 3A playoffs. A national credit reporting agency says Louisiana has multiple challenges ahead, as much of the Jindal Administration’s plan to solve the $487 million midyear shortfall are only temporary fixes. State Treasurer John Kennedy says this is a warning shot…:

Governor Bobby Jindal and his wife will host the 8th Annual Lighting of the Governor’s Mansion Christmas Tree tonight. The event will take place at 5 p.m. Guests will include several families of Gold and Blue Star Moms, Purple Heart Veterans, Women Veterans of Louisiana and Louisiana Army National Guardsmen who are currently deployed or about to be deployed overseas.
